This is a good list- but there's a small nitpick I wanna bring up. The Sands of Time is not often considered the fan favorite by most Prince fans - usually it's Warrior Within! :)

My list is: 1. Borderlands 3 2. Borderlands 2 3. Presequel 4. Borderlands 1 5. Wonderlands 6. Tales 1 7. Tales 2 The gameplay from the top 3 is immaculate and while Wonderlands is lowish I still love it! I just wish it had as much content in base game like 2 and 3 especially with the 70$ price tag.

I’m really annoyed at this Third Strike take. No, 4 is not dumbed down compared to 3. Both 4 and 5 have a higher mental stack than 3, as both have more universal mechanics to keep track of. You see a parry and immediately assume it’s the deepest fighting game mechanic. That’s not how that works 😂 In fact, a parry that strong really flattens the game the higher you go. It makes parry your best defensive option at almost any given moment. As Moment 37 showed, it makes supers even riskier when not done off a hit confirm so everyone always hit confirms their OP Chun super now. There is a reason it has never come back that strong, and especially not for free instead of as a resource cost like in 6.

First thing I though after reading this was F-Zero X. That game was ridiculous!

2015 is hands downthe closest to what we always wanted, underground 3. Unfortunately, they CLEARLY had to cut features they CLEARLY wanted to add, nothing that could be done, since this game was for an unkown reason, completely shadowed.

DK 64 has so much potential for a remake. Most of its issues are easily fixable and giving it a refresh with modern textures and graphics would really make its great level and world design shine

Trepang 2 can get kinda hard.

Astro Playroom is the most innovative fun platformers there is had the PS5 for 6 months before playing it this is the first list I have seen it on. All the other games are also great games but on other lists. Astro Bot looks great looking forward to it coming out.

If you like the Neptunia games, you should genuinely give the Mary Skelter and Death end re;Quest series a try. They have a higher production value than Neptunia, and in the case of MS, it is absolute peak despite the difficulty of the first game. I actually really liked High on Life. It was funny, I thought the shooting a kid in a game joke was funny. The parts with Psychicpebbles made me figuratively shit bricks.

Stalker difficulty thing is a myth that just refuses to die. You can google the datamined chart that stalker modders made by going trough the games code that debunks the whole thing.

I'm sorry but pikmin 4 just doesn't match the charm of the previous games, the atmosphere of the realistic graphics of pikmin 3, with pikmin 4's overly saturated colors feels like a color game for children while pikmin 3 actually feels like you are on an alien planet, instead of feeling like you are running around destrying the eco system, in the former games it feels like you are actually on a hunt for an important mission (pikmin 2 is limited in this regard), getting out of an alien planet with a chance of never seeing your wife and kids ever again? It's so compelling, likewise saving your planet from starvation, I much prefer a character with an actual story than a bunch of emotionless characters scatter just for the heck of it, pikmin 2 with it's difficulty and amazing soundtracks and creatures (especially bossfights) portray the game's idea so much better, pikmin 4 is just a reboot to get more players interested, it just doesn't expand on the former trinity and lacks depth, (funny dog = good tho) all pikmin games are good, but pikmin 4 is the worst

Boomer Shooters are some of the best games ever made.

The one I enjoy most is sonic rush. The classic open routes system opens up a bit more in it. Generally you’d think the the top route is always fastest, but that’s just overall, in sonic rush you can splice together the fastest parts of the several routes and boost down them to set crazy time trial records. And to add depth to this, you can enhance your own route further by making use of each character’s unique abilities. The few changes (much more than outlined in this video- IE the physics, shoulder button abilities) make blaze massively different from sonic, and that’s the fun of it

I've beaten Nioh 1 without getting hit and some other games from this list, i can tell you Toy story is insanely hard, i was routing this game for a No dmg run but the amount of precision required is overwhelming, i had to stop and switch to another game lol Some runs i'll probably do some day are Cuphead, Ghouls n' Ghosts, Ninja Gaiden and the Dark souls series for sure!. Great list, very accurate.
